In 2016, as a considerate member of the community, Hosei University drew up its Charter, outlining its vision for the coming years and how the university sought to contribute to society and the environment by nurturing citizens who will contribute to the creation of a sustainable global community. This year, GIS followed suit and is happy to announce its own vision for the future. To coincide with its release, Dean Diana Khor observed: “Aligning our goals with those of the university while emphasizing the uniqueness of an English-taught liberal arts program of study, the Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies is proud to release the GIS mission and vision statements.” The statements show how GIS envisions its role in society and in developing the next generation of graduates who can make a difference on the local, national and global scene.
