Congratulations to all of you who have passed the entrance examination to the Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies (GIS). Let me commend you also for your hard work and commitment, which have won you the ticket to the GIS community. All the professors here are eagerly waiting to share their knowledge with you—in literature, linguistics, business, psychology, international relations, anthropology, sociology and many more fields. Current students are anxious to welcome you into the GIS community, to make friends with you, share their experiences, and study together with you. Give us a chance to show you—and give yourself a chance to discover—the excitement of learning new subjects in a solid liberal arts curriculum, the fulfilment of meeting challenges in an English-immersion environment, and the value of a university education.
